Old Harbour will be strongly represented at this year’s Miss St Catherine Festival Queen contest which sets in motion on April 23 with the traditional Mayoral Sashing Ceremony at Emancipation Square, Spanish Town.

Nibbian Morgan, Yonique Edgar, Kimone Vidal and Mishaye Taylor are all from Old Harbour and will be among the 10 contestants enlisted to battle for the coveted Miss St Catherine Festival Queen crown.

The winner will represent the parish at the Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Grand Coronation in August.

This coming Sunday, however, locals will get the chance to see all 10 contestants who will be official introduced to the general public and media while being adorn with the sash of their respective sponsors at the annual ceremony held under the distinguished patronage of Mayor of Spanish Town, Councilor Norman Scott.

Start time is 6:00 pm.

The event is organized and managed by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC).
