A female bartender remains in hospital after she was shot by a lone gunman at a pub in Marlie Mount square last night.

Information are that at about seven o’clock the gunman walked into Jillian’s Hot Spot HQ and fired three shots at the bartender before escaping.

Other customers in the bar were not hurt.

The incident brought traffic to a halt along the Old Harbour Road thoroughfare, as detectives search for possible clues that could help them make an arrest.

Up to this morning the condition of the injured woman is unknown in an Old Harbour News follow-up.

The funeral service for the late Trecia ‘Tonniel’ Gordon will be held on Sunday, April 17 at the Bushy Park Seventh Day Adventist Church, Gutters, St Catherine.

Service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am while interment is at the Church Pen Cemetery.

The police are advising the motoring public to expect delays along this particular section of the Old Harbour Road thoroughfare due to the extremely large crowd anticipated. Motorists are also being advised to use alternate routes or rescheduled their travel time.

Twenty-one year-old Gordon, a bartender from Nightingale Grove, St Catherine, died on March 6 at the Mandeville Regional Hospital after she was attacked and stabbed by a man in Alligator Pond, Manchester.

Meanwhile, Old Harbour News understands that the accused man, who was taken into custody following the death of Gordon, was offered bail at $350,000 when he appeared in the Mandeville Resident Magistrate Court on April 4. He's scheduled to return to court on July 21, 2016.
