Church Pen man charged with Island Farm murder

Pinnock, 26, otherwise called ‘Wholey’, was shot dead on May 19, 2022 at a block factory in the neighbouring community of Island Farm.

The crime took place about 8:30 am on the day in question while Pinnock was at work at the block-making facility. He died on the spot after sustain gunshot wounds to the head and upper torso.

Detectives subsequently open up an investigation into the matter resulting in a suspect being taken into custody.

The suspect was formally charged earlier today by the police with murder, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition. He is Roshell Martin, also known as ‘Tod pole’ or ‘Migit’, a 32-year-old labourer of Church Pen Housing Scheme.

Martin, it is understood, had a dispute with Pinnock that led him to attack the now deceased at his place of employment with a gun.

Investigators say they have not been able to retrieve the illegal gun Martin used to commit the heinous crime. But based on evidence compiled they have sufficient evidence identifying the accused to be the killer behind Pinnock’s death.

A court date for Martin is being established.
