‘Persons of interest’ from Old Harbour Bay yet to come forward, says Old Harbour police chief

A little over two weeks ago SSP Blair named eight individuals as ‘persons of interest’ who the police believe can assist investigators in several serious crimes committed across the division, which covers Portmore, Central Village, Old Harbour and Old Harbour Bay.

Five of the eight named are said to be from the fishing community of Old Harbour Bay, the police said. 

The quintet – all males – are Corneal Miller, otherwise called ‘Nyam Nyam’; Nickomo Barrett, better known as ‘Yorkie’; Jackumore Campbell, also known as ‘Plata Puss’; one Christopher Parchment and a man known only as Taniel or ‘Popsi’.

The men from Old Harbour Bay, along with the Central Village trio of Kemar Lewis, more popularly known as ‘Dawg Man; Barrington Campbell, otherwise called Jason and Navado Harris, alias ‘Navie’, were all given until July 1, 2019 to report to Central Village and the Old Harbour police stations.

In an update Friday, DSP Manderson, commander in charge of the Old Harbour police sub-division, said the individuals from Old Harbour Bay are yet to make any contact with the police.

“We continue to pursue them,” he told Old Harbour News regarding those declared ‘persons of interest’. “None of them have not actually turned up; intelligence suggests that some of them have gone in hiding, but we are still pursuing them.”

He added: “They are very critical to helping us in our investigation and we continue to appeal to the public and their family members to bring them in. We would have made appeals for other persons to come in relation to other activities.

“But we are not saying that these persons are guilty. All we are saying is that these persons can help us as a far as our investigation related to major crimes committed in the Old Harbour space. So we want them to come in with a lawyer, find a pastor, find a police officer, find somebody and come in and talk to us and let the law takes its course. Even whilst they make up their minds we are in pursuit of them.”
