16-y-o boy shot dead in Old Harbour

The teenager has been identified as Joel Lawman, a student of Tacius Golding High School.

Preliminary investigation from the police is that about 7:50 pm Lawman, who is from the adjoining lane of North Street, had just left his home when explosions were heard.

The teen ran back into his home and told his parents that he has been shot, the police said.

The police were alerted and Lawman was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
