20-y-o killed in Sharper Lane

According to the Old Harbour police about 9:30 pm, citizens heard loud explosions and following which Beckford was found on the overhead bridge on his back with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on staff.

At the location where Beckford was found, scene of crime detectives say they have retrieved three spent casings as well as blood samples.

This will be sent to the government’s forensic laboratory for a detailed analysis to be done with the hope of unearthing further evidence that could lead them to the killer who remains unknown and at large at the moment.

Investigation continues.
