The businessman was attacked about 7:30 am at his business establishment by gunmen who escaped on foot.

According to the West Kingston police, ‘Mr B’ was standing by his motor car on the outside of his business when armed thugs shot him multiple times in the head and upper torso.

He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At the scene, detectives recovered 13 spent shells and four bullet fragments, a clear sign that Campbell was the target.

Campbell, the police say, was an ex-member of the once feared Shower Posse Gang, a powerful criminal enterprise headquartered in West Kingston and founded by the late Lester Lloyd Coke, better known as ‘Jim Brown’.

‘Mr B’, according to the police, kept a low profile after being deported years ago back to Jamaica from the United States.

Investigation continues.
