A bar owner is now nursing gunshot wounds following a harrowing ordeal at her business place in Old Harbour, St. Catherine, on Tuesday morning.

The police have identified the victim as 31-year-old Peter-Ann Plummer, otherwise called 'Anna,' of a Clarendon address.

Reports from the Old Harbour police are that about 11:30 am, Plummer was at her establishment, 'Bad and Boujee Chill Spot Bar' located on Darlington Drive, when three men approached the premises.

The men, who appeared to be regular customers, entered the bar and made a purchase. However, the situation quickly escalated when one of the men brandished a firearm and announced a robbery.

The men proceeded to rob the bar owner of her personal and business items. Among the stolen items were a blue Samsung S21 cellular phone valued at approximately JMD $40,000, a digital video recorder (DVR) valued at JMD $30,000, and an undetermined sum of cash.

During the incident, the complainant was shot and injured. The assailants then fled the scene.

The matter was reported to the police shortly after 12:00 pm, while Plummer was subsequently assisted to the hospital, where she is being treated for her injuries. Old Harbour News understands that Plummer’s injuries are not life-threatening.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident. However, the identities of the three suspects remain unknown at this time.

The Old Harbour police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in identifying the perpetrators to come forward. Investigations are ongoing.
