A murder probe has since been launched to determine the facts surrounding the crime which occurred about 7:40 pm yesterday at an open lot near the Old Harbour Health Centre.

So far the police said the deceased appears to be in his 30s, is approximately five feet, nine inches in height, slender built and of light complexion. He was wearing a red t-shit, black jeans pants and black and white underpants.

According to Old Harbour News sources it is believed that the man is not from the area, as residents claimed they were seeing him for the first time.

Based on further observation the police noted the deceased had three teardrops tattoo under his left eye, as well as an imprint of a large wire around his left bicep.

According to information gleaned so far citizens informed the police of seeing a white Honda Stream motor car speeding away from the location after hearing loud explosions consistent with that of gunshots being fired. They were unable to ascertain the license plate registration on the vehicle or provide description of the suspect(s).

Moments later they saw the victim lying on the ground with what seems to be gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

The man was transported to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was formally pronounced dead by a doctor on staff and the body taken to the morgue.

Persons with any information are urged to contact the Old Harbour CIB immediately.

Investigation continues.
