Electrical issues disrupt water supply at NWC Bowers Pen and Spring Garden pumps

The National Water Commission wishes to advise that operations at the Spring Gardens and Bowers Pen water supply facilities in St Catherine have been halted due to electrical problems.

The NWC teams are currently assessing the extent of the damage to the respective systems to further advise the public on the possible restoration times.

Areas served by these systems may experience low pressure or several hours of no water until the issues are resolved.

Areas impacted are: Bushy Park, Spring Village, Island Farm, Nightingale Grove, Nightingale Grove Farms (Five Acres), Grove, High House, Lloyd’s Pen, Gutters, sections of Church and Bowers Drive. 

The NWC said every effort is being made to restore normal service in the shortest possible time.
