Man found dead at Marlie Gate, Old Harbour

He has been identified as Chamario Poyser, otherwise called ‘Chammy’ or ‘Pyzer’, unemployed of Orange Lane, Old Harbour.
About three o’clock residents of the unregulated settlement reportedly heard loud explosions after which Poyser was discovered dead lying on his back along a dirt track. Investigators said he had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the face.
His death comes as a shock to the community given his true nature as just a handyman who survived doing little odd jobs here and there for persons who knows him. He’s also viewed as one with mental issues. He’s usually reclusive, oftentimes walks very fast and wears almost a permanent serious facial expression. Beneath that, however, was just a humble soul who earned his honest bread just by making himself useful.
It is the second murder recorded in the Marlie Gate area for the year following the death of mechanic, Ricardo ‘Coolie’ Maragh.
Investigation continues.
