A large crowd has gathered at the Old Harbour Bay Fishing Beach after a man was shot dead about seven o’clock this morning.

Dead is Paul Ronaldson said to be in his 20s.

Ronaldson is fisherman by profession and a native of the fishing community.

Information reaching Old Harbour News is that Ronaldson had just arrived on location when he was pounced on by a man who pulled a gun and shot him in the head.

He died on the spot.

The police have confirmed the incident but cannot provide any details at this time.

It is further understood that Ronaldson, who goes by the aliases of ‘Midnight Cowboy’ or ‘Shatta Paul’, was recently released from jail on bail in relation to a police investigation in which he has been charged with shooting with intent.

That shooting incident also occurred August 13, 2022 on East Bay Drive, Old Harbour Bay.

Report from the police is stated that an argument developed between Ronaldson and another man when the now deceased allegedly pulled gun and fired at the complainant.

The man fortunately escaped but later filed a formal complaint at the police station.

Few days later Ronaldson was arrested and charged and the matter placed before a magistrate for trial.
