Reports are that during a joint military/police operation in the community of New Ramble on Monday a search of a house occupied by three adult males and the teenage girl was carried out.

During the search officers found an illegal intra-tec sub-machine gun and three 9mm rounds.

Old Harbour News understands that all four remain in custody.

Incidentally an Ananda Alert was issued yesterday morning for the missing teenage girl by both the Child Protection and Family Services and the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

The teenager, whose name cannot be published because she’s a minor and based on the nature of the investigation, is of brown complexion, medium build and approximately five-feet two inches tall.

Investigation continues.
