Roberts, otherwise called ‘Gungo’ was shot dead last Saturday afternoon April 13 in the Old Harbour community of Panton Lane.

According to detectives, residents reported hearing gunshots after which Roberts was seen running before collapsing to the ground.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Seven days since his murder, investigators have not made any progress in the probe, while an eyewitness is yet to come forward.

Though he isn’t from Panton Lane, Roberts is said to be well known by residents from area. He’s from the adjoining community of Marlie Acres and is oftentimes seen in Panton Lane due to family and other connections.

Several sources informed Old Harbour News that the deceased had a checkered past but has been making some positive changes lately.

Some persons have theorized that he was gunned down because of past transgressions held against him by an enemy.

While speculations abound, investigators say they are yet to pinpoint any irrefutable facts to move the case forward at this time.
