Old Harbour man believed to be drunk found dead
The observation was noted about 1:00 pm today by a curious passerby along Darlington Drive in the vicinity of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
He has been identified as Derval March, a 50-year-old unemployed resident of Darlington Drive.
In confirming the news with Old Harbour News, the police said preliminary investigation is that March, who is known to be other than sober most times, was seen lying on the ground from in the morning.
This common occurrence was viewed by those familiar with the now deceased as just another episode of intoxication.
After a few hours he would rise from his deep slumber and go on his merry way again.
But this time he did not rise as anticipated with his unexpected death classified as undetermined pending a post mortem.
Based on their own observation, investigators do not suspect any foul play to determine the cause of March's death.
The body was taken to the hospital where it was formally passed as dead.
Investigation continues.
