Scene of crime detectives as well as investigators attached to the Old Harbour CIB are currently at Marlie Mount where a man is believed to have been murdered.

The dead man has been identified as Anthony ‘Tyson’ Clement whose body was found inside a makeshift woodwork shop located at the community’s commercial area.

Clement’s lifeless body was discovered about 10 o’clock this morning by the shop owner, who notified the police.

Clement is said to have no fixed address and makes a living within the Marlie Mount area as a handyman.

He’s believed to have been shot but DSP Damion Manderson, commander in charge of Old Harbour Police, was unable to confirm this as he’s awaiting the preliminary report from the investigation.

Residents, however, say they heard two explosions associated with that from a gun about three o’clock this morning.

Meantime, the police have confirmed that an Izizzi Lottery outlet at Evan’s Plaza was burglarized last night.

Evan’s Plaza is approximately 20 metres away from the woodwork shop where Clement’s body was found.

Investigation continues.
