Following her featured story in Old Harbour News psychologist Jerine Singh was duly honoured on Heroes’ Day during the annual National Honours and Awards ceremony held virtually for the first time.

Before long however Singh, who works at the medical services branch at the National Police College, was proudly wearing her Badge of Honour for meritorious service in her field.

The occasion was to worship at the Bethel Baptist Independent Church at Gutters, where the Nightingale Grove resident has been a lifelong member.

Singh’s two decades of service as counselling psychologist in the country’s correctional service and constabulary force has aided in the positive transformation of many convicted criminals as well as police officers who have suffered mental and emotional breakdown in their sworn duty to serve, protect and reassure the public.
