Police probe murder of Nannyville resident in Old Harbour community

  • Mar 09, 2025 08:27 AM | News

Detectives assigned to the Old Harbour police subdivision have commenced a probe into yesterday’s murder of a Kingston man in the community of Vineyards Estate here in southwest St Catherine.

Dead is 39-year-old Adrian Marsh of Nannyville Gardens, Kingston 3.

Old Harbour News understands that about 1:30 pm Marsh was at a house of a relative on Grape Avenue when he was shot multiple times by men on motorcycles. He died on the spot.

A preliminary report from the police stated that upon receiving a phone call Marsh went outside when he was attacked by the gunmen who fled the scene afterwards.

The brazen gun attack sparked a great sense of shock and awe amongst residents of this very quiet community. No-one was willing to speak on the matter, except to confirm that the deceased isn’t from the community.

It is believed that Marsh, who had been at the house of the relative for only a few days now, was tracked and sought out by men who clearly wanted him dead.

Though the investigation is in its infancy, detectives are of the view that Marsh’s death is quite possible gang-related given historically the hostile environment of the Nannyville community.

A large contingent of high-ranking police officers was also quick on to the scene yesterday, as the Vineyards Estate is also the home of Commissioner of Police Dr Kevin Blake.

It is further understood that all resources necessary have been made available to investigators to increase the speed of the investigation and bring swiftly to books the persons involved in this brazen and carefully executed murder plot.

The investigation is ongoing.
