The state agency did not give a reason for the postponement but has apologized to the public “for any inconvenience caused”.

Earlier the NWA had announced via a media advisory that the westbound overpass bridge linking Hagley Park Road to Marcus Garvey Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic effective 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 13 until 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14.

Manager, Communcation and Customer Service at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, explains that the section of roadway is being closed to facilitate remedial work to correct a drainage issue on the eastern side of the bridge.
