Two persons shot in Spring Village gun attack

The condition of the injured persons are not life-threatening the police informed Old Harbour News, while confirming the incident.

At about 8:30 pm yesterday in a section of the community called Rock Stone, several loud explosions were heard.

Moments later two persons were observed at a premises suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were rushed to the hospital where their health status has been reported to be stable.

No motive has been established.

Immediately after the shooting a paramilitary unit of security personnel blanketed the area in search of the shooter, who had already left the scene of the crime, while detectives try to garner any piece of evidentiary material that can assist the investigation.

Up to this morning police and soldiers were observed patrolling the community.
