Two shot dead in Bois Content

They have been identified as Kerron 'Creng Creng' Bailey, a 40-year-old mason and 37-year-old labourer Oral 'Bally' Lewis – both from the community.

Reports from the police are that about 8:15 pm Bailey and Lewis were observing men playing dominoes at the piazza of Bird Nest Bar along the Bois Content Main Road when they were attacked by armed thugs.

Eyewitnesses account revealed that three men armed with guns alighted from grey car, shouted “police” before opening fire at Bailey and Lewis. Both men died on the spot.

The gunmen then returned to the vehicle and left the scene.

This double murder comes three months after four people from the adjoining community of Rhule Town, Planters Hall were ambushed and killed in their beds on December 11, 2020.
