Two shot in Old Harbour gun attack

The shooting occurred sometime after six o'clock at the intersection of the May Pen off ramp on South Street.
Based on preliminary information from the Old Harbour police, a Toyota Probox taxi with only the driver aboard broke down at the location, causing a queue. A man driving a Mercedes Benz SUV – said to be a friend of the taxi driver – stopped to give assistance.
While making checks a man approached both men and open gunfire, hitting them before making good his escape on foot in a northerly direction.
Both men, who are from Old Harbour, were rushed to a nearby hospital where they received treatment.
One of the injured men was subsequently released while the other remains hospitalised in stable condition, Old Harbour News can report.
Investigators probing the matter are urging members of the public to contact the Old Harbour CIB if they have any information that could assist with the investigation.
