Victim, accused hospitalised after bloody scene in Old Harbour
Both men remain hospitalised after a stabbing incident which took place around 8:30 pm at a Dolphin Avenue home in Old Harbour Glades Thursday.
The victim Hue Pierson was unresponsive after sustaining injuries to his chest, face and head. He has however regained consciousness and is said to be communicating.
Pierson’s attacker Kafu Williams, who suffers from mental health challenges, is also undergoing treatment at the same hospital. He has been put under sedation based on his condition at the
moment.
The facts, from a preliminary police report, are that residents contacted Old Harbour Police Station after hearing cries for help coming from the premises.
Those cries for help could still be heard when the police arrived. But the lawmen were unable to gain immediate entry to the house as the grills were locked.
Firefighters from the Old Harbour Fire Station were called in to assist in gaining entry following which Williams was observed on the floor in a pool of blood holding Pierson in his arms while clutching a knife.
Williams was then subdued by officers who rushed both men to the Spanish Town Hospital.
Pierson, 39, is a barber of a Bay View Gardens address, while Williams, who is called ‘Taffy’ is said to be from Old Harbour Bay.
Investigators must now wait on Pierson’s level of recovery before ascertaining the full details of what transpired at the home on that frightening night.
