VIDEO: Man seen on fire during massive blaze at Mandeville gas station

Firefighters from Mandeville and neighbouring parishes had to scramble to get to the scene and have since managed to bring the situation under control.

One man was seen walking while his body was ablaze based on video footages and images obtained by Old Harbour News. The Jamaica Fire Brigade is yet to confirm any injury or possible casualty.

Chaos broke out at the usually busy intersection at the corner of Perth Road and Ward Avenue as the raging blaze sent shoppers and commuters scurrying for their lives during Friday evening rush hour.

With huge plumes of thick black smoke billowing into the evening sky, the incident understandably has forced a pile-up of traffic in the town, as the police cordon off the area to allow firefighters to perform cooling down operations and ascertain the origin of the fire.
