Warmington provides update on Spring Village bridge
Life for these users have been ostensibly less than normal as they adjust to traversing on the alternate route through the community of Nightingale Grove Farms which is more time consuming and significantly less smooth.
Almost three months now since the National Works Agency (NWA) deemed the structure unsafe for the motoring public, information has emerged that urgent steps are being taken to get a new bridge in place within the shortest possible time.
In a conversation with Old Harbour News Member of Parliament Everald Warmington informed that the bridge has been “put to tender”, but prefer not to say anymore on the matter until that process is complete.
Therefore the public, especially those impacted most, will have to wait and see to know the type of structure, a timeline for completion and cost to taxpayers to rebuild the bridge.
Warmington is also the state minister with responsibility for the works portfolio which includes policy directives of the NWA.
