NWA to close Three Miles overpass bridge for 26 hours
The bridge is being closed for 26 hours, effective 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 13.
This section of roadway is most frequently used by persons intending to access the Portmore leg of Highway 2000 or Marcus Garvey Drive will reopened at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14, stated the National Works Agency (NWA) in a media release.
Manager, Communcation and Customer Service at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, explains that the section of roadway is being closed to facilitate remedial work to correct a drainage issue on the eastern side of the bridge.
During the period of closure, motorists are being advised to use an alternative route and to obey the posted warning signs and the instructions of flag persons.
