This Old Harbour community to be without electricity for hours
Posted online, the JPS has listed five communities across the island that will be without power for several hours during the day.
In St Andrew the communities of Tavistock Terrace and Poinciana Crescent will be without electricity, as will be Albion Heights in St James.
Power outage notices have been issued for Westmoreland with Font Hill to Font Hill Beach area, as well as South Sea Park to be impacted.
In St Catherine a section of Windsor Heights known as Zambia will have no electricity, while Marlie Acres in Old Harbour will experience a similar situation throughout the day.
The affected areas in St Catherine will be without power between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, while elsewhere could be without such service until six o’clock in the evening.
The JPS said planned maintenance outages are necessary to ensure its system network is reliable and efficient to meet the demands of its customers.
