Body found in container on Hi-Pro compound
Workers at the factory pounced upon the body inside a 20-foot container which arrived at the facility from a Kingston port on Wednesday, according to the police.
Information by the police are that about 1:30 pm Friday workers discovered a male body lying face down inside the container which was about to be loaded with goods.
The police were immediately called in and the scene process.
“He's of black complexion, strongly built, in his 50s, round face, short plaited hair, clad in black pants, black underwear, black socks and shirtless,” a source told Old Harbour News.
It had signs of blood coming from the nose and mouth, and there were no signs of violence the source noted.
Meantime, Old Harbour News was unable to get a response from a representative of the Jamaica Broilers Group but understands that the company has been cooperating with the investigation by providing all relevant information that can assist detectives.
