We all want to live this abundant life that Jesus promised (John 10:11).

Reading about abundance doesn't give it to us. As with every Bible truth, we have to come to the place where the shoes of truth meet the track of reality. In other words, we have to put theory of mind to the practice of daily living. We have to think abundance, but more importantly, we have to live it. We have to pray our big prayers, trust our big God and expect our big showers and, of course, walk with our big umbrellas. What we believe in our hearts must be demonstrated in our lives, or else we are lying to ourselves. Belief in a God of abundance, cannot be just something that we have in our minds or on our tongues, but it must be transmitted to the way we live. We must pray about the closed door in front of us and then walk boldly to it and not be shocked that it opens for us. We have to be the people who, when God has given us His answer of peace, we sail forward in full confidence that no power on earth can hold us back- except our own doubting. Our constant practising of trusting God and experiencing Him coming through will be honouring to Him and helpful to us. Let's not just be people who know truth in our heads and hearts, but let's, for God's sake, practise them in our lives.

James 1:22: Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
