DAILY DEVOTION: Well-digger for God | Isaac Pt.3
It is very important that our priorities are straight: God first and success after. There are some people who go after the success first and when they get it, those of us who watch their lives realise that, it got them. There was a lion hunter who was swallowed up by his work. It wasn't long before he got swallowed up by some lions.
Isaac went to dig his best well ever. Before he gave himself to the work, he had a special time with God. Before he went down with his well, he went up with his altar. When our worship precedes our work then God will join us at work. The 7th day might be made for man's rest, but God's new order has the first day for man's worship. Put God before work, school, family, spouse, and all that we need shall be added. After Isaac's worship, he went to his work and dug his best and most famous well. This was at a place named Shebah (meaning seven). The well and place was called Beersheba (Beer means well). His servants will later tell him that they struck water. There were in fact seven wells dug there and two of them provide water in that area even to this day.
When we put our worship to God first, He will bless our work beyond our wildest expectations.
