DAILY DEVOTION: Who's The Boss of Me? (The Opening)
If somewhere is not being filled by the proper filler then something else will take its place. Sometimes that which replaces it is of an inferior quality, but it's doing a job. God designed the universe. He has His program running here on Earth within the principles of the universe. If there is an opening, it needs to be filled. But by whom? we often ask. The answer many times lies with the person asking the question. God shows you the void: there are people to be fed, children to be led and you see it as clear as day. God either wants you to do it or be very instrumental in getting someone on it. Too many times we turn away from what we know needs to be done and we either hope someone else will attend to it or we just try to forget it. If God had designed that job for your application, anyone or anything else will be inferior. Don’t shy away from the call of God for you. If the all-wise God of the universe impresses this task upon you, stop this folly of thinking that "He must have made a mistake". As a matter of fact, SINCE God has called you to do it, ability, acceptance from others, self-confidence, training and a host of other "prerequisites to service" are really not even as important as your call. If God has an opening for you, grab it with all your heart. The King has chosen you.
Isaiah 6:8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, here am I; send me.
