DAILY DEVOTION: Wife search with God |The unnamed servant Pt.1
Abraham's servant with his mouth wide opened, stunned to temporary silence at what he was seeing, might be a funny scene, but it certainly didn't look faith-filled. Somebody probably needed to tell him to close his mouth, as he stood there in shock. The man had prayed specifically for God to cause things to flow, but wow man, talk about your answer to prayer beyond your wildest dreams! As he got there, so did Rebecca. She had the perfect family connections, she was a stunning beauty and she had a beautiful servant's heart. She, in answer to his prayer, gave water to him and all 10 of his camels. Carrying a 5-gallon jug, she would give each at least 10 gallons. This meant she had to have gone back and forth to the well, at least 20 times, then once more to get water to take home. What planet was she from?
Well, YOU need to know that, YOU can always make YOUR specific requests to God. YOU really need to stop letting the fact that God answers prayers, surprise YOU. YOU need to realise that, when God is doing His thing for YOU, He does the best things. YOU need to know that, God can wow YOU beyond YOUR wildest imagination. Yes, YOU need to get to that place. And when you do, please try and help ME to get there too. I am still back here, amazed by the acts of God in this story.
Luke 1:37: For with God nothing shall be impossible.
