Labour is hard but most people press on because they expect a payday someday.

As we engage ourselves with working for our King, there are various aspects to our pay packages. First, we are paid just by the privilege of working for our Lord and Saviour. It is such a high honour to be yoked up together with Him, as we work the fields for souls. Actually, He is doing the real lifting.  It's true, "His yoke is easy and His burden is light" (Matt.11:30). Second, we are rewarded when we see those lives have been gloriously transformed by the power, love and grace of God. If it didn't happen to us also, many times we wouldn't believe the change. When Jesus moves into a heart, things happen - from the inside-out. It is a beautiful sight to behold. It is true, we become new creations (2 Cor.5:17). The third aspect of our reward is awaiting us when we stand before the King. Even while standing there, we will experience the first two again. Oh, the joy of standing there is reward in and of itself. Oh, the crown of seeing others we have helped is the Crown of Rejoicing (1 Thess.2:19-20). The Master will go on to reward us with His words "Well done" and proceed to impart to us other crowns. So overwhelmed we are going to be that we will lay them at His feet in total love and homage to Him (Rev.4:10).

He alone must end the day with all the glory. JESUS PAID IT ALL AND SO HE MUST GET IT ALL!

Shalom!
