Innswood Old Boys retains Rovman Powell T20 Bash crown to extend dynasty

Innswood Old Boys have now won all four editions of the tournament — a dynasty that shows no sign of loosening its grip on the silverware.

Batting first after winning the toss, Innswood Old Boys posted a competitive 148/9 from their allotted 20 overs, anchored by a composed 55 from 44 balls by Kirk McKenzie and a blistering 47 off just 31 deliveries from Adrian Weir. The pair did the bulk of the scoring, though Kevon Lettman chipped in with a useful eight off seven late on. Extras proved costly for Portsmouth, contributing 17 to the total.

Portsmouth's bowlers kept the innings from spiraling out of control, with Jamie Hay the pick of the attack, returning figures of three for 24 from his four overs. Tamarie Redwood claimed two for 25, while Alex Hinds finished with one for 15.

In reply, Portsmouth CC never quite found the momentum needed to chase down the target. David Dewar top-scored with a patient 27 from 25 balls, while Javardi Francis contributed 24 from 27. Jordan Johnson added a brisk 15 off 12, but the innings lacked a substantial partnership. Damion Ebanks was the standout bowler for Innswood, taking three for 12, with Ralique Thomas (2/21) and Brad Barnes (2/24) providing excellent support. Portsmouth's 124/9 included 14 extras.

The third-place playoff was reduced to 13 overs per side due to a late start, but that did little to dampen the entertainment, as Old Harbour Cricket Club beat National Water Commission Team by 17 runs. 

Old Harbour Cricket Club posted 109/5, powered by a sensational 61 off just 31 balls from Tieno Osbourne. Damion Wolliston supported with 21 from 17, while Delando Fogah added nine. Oneil Wright was the most successful bowler for NWC with three for 18, while Carlton Forbes (1/19) and Jason Russell (1/24) also struck. 

In response, NWC Team managed 92/4 from their 13 overs. Oneil Wright backed up his bowling effort with a fighting 34 from 31 balls, while Anthony Brown (12 off 8) and Fabian Forbes (11 off 6) made brief contributions. Gordon Bryan led the Old Harbour attack with two for 14, with Romone Francis taking one for 17. A generous 11 extras aided the chase but ultimately proved insufficient.

The fourth edition of the Rovman Powell T20 Bash once again showcased the depth of talent in Jamaican club cricket.
