Old Harbour claim seventh SDC T20 parish title
Devoy Smith cracked a whirlwind century of 130 from 74 balls which laid the foundation for Old Harbour to claim a third successive parish crown and seventh overall.
The two-time defending national champions will now seek to regain the main prize last won in 2012.
With history in their favour, Old Harbour chose to bat after winning the toss and amassed a daunting 213 for four off their allotted 20 overs.
The Crocodiles bowlers found little bite, as Smith played a savage innings laced with 12 fours and nine sixes. He received good support from former Jamaica national wicketkeeper Keith Hibbert, who hit five boundaries in his knock of 44.
The Crocodiles made a brave attempt at the run chase, but fell short at 201 for six, with schoolboy Rohan Francis bagging two for 33 for the victors.
Top scorer for the Crocs was Jeavor Royal who smashed 93, inclusive of five fours and nine maximums, while former national player Danza Hyatt made 33 all in a losing cause.
In another parish final, Junction Ballards Valley dethroned Junction Bull Savannah by 36 runs at the Manley Horne Park to lift the St Elizabeth title.
