PHOTO: Truck stolen from Spanish Town residence
According to the owner, who wished to remain anonymous, suspicions were raised when they heard strange sounds coming from outside at the front of their home. This was minutes after 3:00 am.
By the time they rushed outside, three men were seen inside the moving truck. An alarm was raised but the thieves managed to escape.
The matter has been reported to the Spanish Town police who are reviewing CCTV footage provided by the owner to aid the investigation.
An old photograph of the truck with its windscreen smashed in is being circulated by the owner, who noted that that glass screen was replaced “a good while now”.
The vehicle, which had a few items in it at the time, is used to operate the family business, the owner told Old Harbour News.
The family is appealing to the public to make immediate contact with the police if they have any information regarding the stolen vehicle.
“They can take the goods,” the owner lamented. “We just want back the truck. The truck is what we use to transport goods to Falmouth and Kingston every week.”
Persons with information can contact the Spanish Town police at 876-984-2305, the police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
