Sierra Leone FA investigates matches ending with 95-0 and 91-1 scorelines
On Sunday, two First Division matches in the country’s Eastern Region Super 10 League saw Kahunla Rangers hammering Lumbebu United 95-0, while Gulf FC crushed Koquima Lebanon 91-1.
Both Kahunla Rangers and Gulf FC are locked on equal points and fighting for promotion with goal difference a major deciding factor to determine which team advance to the premiership.
The SLFA has announced that investigation has commenced into the “impractical match results” which had Kahunla Rangers leading 2-0 at halftime, while Gulf FC were 7-1 up at the interval against Lumbebu United.

A thorough investigation has commenced the SLFA stated in a release while declaring that “anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law as prescribed in the SLFA Code of Ethics” in compliance with football’s world governing body FIFA and the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) rules against match manipulation.
The development comes four weeks after several players and match officials were banned for up to eight years by the South African Football Association for deliberately manipulating the outcome of a game.
A similar punishment was handed down in Nigeria back in 2013 after Plateau smashed Akurba 79-0 and Police Machine FC pummelled Babayaro FC 67-0.
