St. Jago Park Health Centre to temporarily close for major technology upgrade

The three-day shutdown is necessary to allow the management information systems (MIS) department to execute a complex modernisation exercise. The team will be tasked with the careful decommissioning, physical relocation, reinstallation, and rigorous testing of the centre’s electronic health record (EHR) system, known as SystmOne, alongside related network equipment.

This move is a critical step in transitioning the health centre’s operations to a new building. According to health officials, the temporary disruption is essential to ensure that the sensitive digital infrastructure is moved safely and securely without compromising patient data or system integrity once the centre reopens.

“We understand that this closure may cause inconvenience, but this technological upgrade is vital for the continued delivery of efficient and high-quality care,” a representative from the St. Catherine Health Department stated. “The relocation will place us in a better position to serve our patients in the long term.”

During the closure period, members of the public in need of routine medical care are encouraged to visit neighbouring health centres within the parish.
