JPS issues 10-hour outage for SW St Catherine communities

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has issued maintenance outage advisory for two communities in southwest St Catherine.

The outages take effect March 21 and will last for approximately 10 hours starting 8:00 am for Nightingale Grove and 8:30 am for Old Harbour Villas. Electricity is scheduled to return at 6:00 pm for both communities.

Residents in these communities are urged to make the necessary adjustments in their planning, as the maintenance outage is necessary to ensure consistent and efficient supply.

The maintenance outage will see JPS crews conducting cleaning and clearing of power lines as well as replacing poles that have become compromised and deemed a safety risk to the public.
