Gun attack leaves dad dead, 2-y-o son injured

A gun attack in Claremont Gardens, Old Harbour has left a father dead and his two-year-old son nursing gunshot wounds.

Dead is 43-year-old labourer Glenmore Ellington, from the Claremont Gardens community.

Information is that about midnight last night Ellington, also known as ‘Gideon’ or ‘Harry’ and his son were at home when armed thugs enter the premises with guns blazing.

Ellington was shot in the head and chest, while his son was shot in the leg. Both were transported to hospital where the father would later succumb to his injuries.

The gunmen escaped, while a motive behind the killing is yet to be established.

Investigation continues.
