Last evening the popular eatery was slapped with a ceased and desist order with immediate effect by the ODPEM at its Old Harbour and Dunrobin locations for alleged breaches under the Disaster Risk Management Act.
However, following an emergency meeting today with members of the ODEPM team and Minister of Local Government Desmond McKenzie, the matter has been resolved and the business establishment given the green light to resume normal operations.
Finer details of the meeting were not made public.
It is understood that upon being made aware of the situation the Old Harbour Chamber of Commerce issued a missive to the ODPEM urging the state agency to reconsider its position due to what they believe was a matter that can be resolved through dialogue.
Russell’s T20 is own by cricket’s mega star Andre Russell, who is a product of Old Harbour.
