Scotiabank addresses transaction fees error

Scotiabank Jamaica is advising that it has “rectified” a technical error that led to some of its customers being “over or undercharged for certain recent transactions.
The company did not however state the period in which the erroneous transaction fees occurred, how many transactions were affected and the amount of customers impacted.
But it indicated that “all customers who were overcharged have already been fully refunded” by the bank.
“No additional charges were applied to customer accounts which were undercharged,” it added in an advisory to its customers.
