You know, we always hear people talk about, “getting on the path and staying on the path, the path, the path…the path”.

Funny thing is no one says and makes it clear to us that all the things we face each day is part of that path. Your path is all of those seemingly random and unrelated things. Like those little wins, like when you actually wake up early just before your alarm goes, or when you just made it in time before the bank closes! All the little things and big things.

Of course, it’s also the not so pleasant or fun things. Like those days when you are already late and then there is a long line at the gas station or when it rains and you are wearing the wrong shoes. And the other things: family drama, death and loss. But have you ever just glanced over at it, over your shoulder and realized that everything that has ever happened to you has never happened to anybody else? That’s because it’s unique to you. You are on your path. Those are all your lessons and blessings! It is however, what you do with those lessons that determine where you go next.

I’m happy for the day I realized that my path is mine to appreciate. All my childhood trauma and hurt, all my financial struggles, my adventures and just all of it has just perfectly amalgamated into one confident and determined woman. It feels right to me, custom fit.

Sometimes we allow others and things to affect our energy and influence our decisions. People push us, persuade us or promise us in directions that we believe causes more damage than good. In fact, only when we don’t learn from our errors and not appreciate our growth do we stay immobile and stall on the path.

Love yourself and embrace being unique. Pay more attention to the signs that the Universe sends. Just like real road signs, so many things are for showing us other things. A sign that says “Caution, Wet Road” means slow down, be more careful, use your brakes wisely. A “slow school” sign means expect a random child to run across unexpectedly. Wake up and read between the lines, listen to your instincts, trust your gut feelings and remember you are on your path so stay alert and enjoy the roses. Life is beautiful, enjoy every minute of it.
