Nine persons where shot, three fatally, during a gun attack at a football match at the Best Dressed Chicken playfield in the community.

Since then the police high command said they have assembled a team of experienced investigators to probe the deadly shooting where an estimated 400 people were at the venue.

A part from confirming that “one person has been taken into custody”, DCP Bailey, who is in charge of the crime portfolio, did not provide any additional details when contacted by Old Harbour News.

However, Television Jamaica is reporting that the male suspect was picked up yesterday during a police operation and is a top tier member of the One Order Gang in Spanish Town, 12 miles east of Old Harbour town square.

The suspect will be question by investigators in short order over what they theorised to be a missing gun that was the motive behind the fatal shooting that left the entire community of approximately 5,000 residents frightened to this day.

Two of the dead men, it is said, were the target of the shooters.
