Demarai Grey
Following his impressive debut for Jamaica in the Concacaf Gold Cup opener against the United States, reports have emerged in England that Demarai Grey is the latest elite Premier League player being pursued by the Saudi Pro League.
According to Sky Sports News, representatives of Al-Hilal FC have made contact with Grey’s agent and are scheduled to be in London next week to negotiate a deal.
Neither Grey’s parent club Everton, nor his agent have made any comment on the development, fueling speculations even further.
Since the official opening of the football transfer market, the Saudi Pro League has been turning heads with its big money signings of some of Europe’s biggest stars including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Ruben
Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, all following the January signing of modern great Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Al-Nassr in January from Manchester United.
Grey, 26, showed his quality in his first international outing for Jamaica, as it was the winger provided the assist for Damion Lowe to head home the first goal of the tournament.
Yesterday’s exciting game ended 1-1 with Grey being substituted in the 89th minute.
