Police identify man killed in Old Harbour town centre

The identity of man who was last evening shot dead in the town centre of Old Harbour has been revealed.

He is 31-year-old Kierell Plummer otherwise called ‘Kyle’ of Bannister district, northern Old Harbour.

Plummer, a store clerk, was shot at close range multiple times in the upper body by a lone assailant who escaped unchallenged.

The fatal shooting occurred about 6:45 pm at the heights of rush hour along Darlington Drive mere metres away from the famous clock in the town square and the police station.

The incident sent commuters scampering while traffic flow was disrupted for hours as detectives process the crime scene.

Investigators are unable to say at this time what are the possible reasons for the brazen slaying of Plummer who was employed at a supermarket in Old Harbour.

However, investigations are ongoing.
