Both men, it is said, frequent the Old Harbour area and “can assist us in two separate incidents of murder”, stated the police.

They are known as ‘Crime Pig’ and ‘Rum Stains’.

Speaking at the division’s quarterly virtual town hall meeting Sunday, crime officer in charge of investigations, DSP Jermaine Anglin said the police would like both men to make themselves available for questioning.

Said DSP Anglin: “Both persons we’d believe they can assist us in two separate incidents of murder.

“Crime Pig: he has associates in the Spring Village area as well as the Burke Road/Africa area.

“Rum Stains: he has associates in Sandy Bay, Clarendon area and comes over into the general Old Harbour township and Bodles area, leading back to Sandy Bay.”

Both men were highlighted in a report delivered by Anglin, who formerly headed the Old Harbour CIB a few years ago at the rank of inspector.

Meantime, Anglin stated that detectives under his command have remain steadfast in their approach to destabilized and dismantle gangs across the division which encompasses Portmore, Central Village and Old Harbour.

“Investigations are continuing into several murders and shootings in Old Harbour and Old Harbour Bay areas,” he said, while urging the public to corporate with the police.

The top investigator noted it remains for challenge for law enforcers for some business operators to share video footage that could assist the police in resolving crimes committed in the division.

Whilst it is within the remit of the police to force business owners to share video footage deemed necessary by investigators, DSP Anglin the team continues to use “moral suasion” as a way to maintain trust and confidence.
