Man charged after breaking into house of female soldier
He is Omaine Foster, otherwise called ‘Runkus’ a neighbour within said community.
According to investigators on the night of October 28, 2023 Foster illegally gained entry into the home of the soldier who was asleep at the time.
The army officer was awoken by the presence of the alleged burglar who the police report inflicted several blows on her before escaping with two mobile phones and $50,000 in cash.
The Old Harbour police were summoned to the area in which the victim gave a statement and the scene processed.
A manhunt was then launched in search of Foster who was subsequently held by cops probing the case.
The accused was then placed in front of an identification parade where he was positively identified by the victim.
Investigators have expressed confidence in the case as the evidence, they claimed, overwhelmingly points to Foster who is scheduled to make his first court appearance on November 13.
