In a bulletin last week to all stakeholders the ministry said: “Through established partnerships and collaboration with various stakeholder groups, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information has adjusted the administration dates of the grades five and six Primary Exit Profile (PEP) assessments.”

Under the revision, grade six students will sit the Ability Test on February 25. March 19 and 20 are the new dates for Performance Tasks, while students will sit the Curriculum Based Test April 23 and 24.

All students currently in grade five will be required to sit the Grade 5 Performance Tasks now set for May 28 and 29.

“The teacher activity will be sent to the schools one week before the administration of the Performance Tasks for the different grades.

“School administrators are being asked to pay close attention to the adjusted dates and make the necessary preparations for a smooth transition,” the ministry stated.
