Police sources commenting on condition of anonymity believe her acts of jealousy, mischief and intent to cause harm warrant disciplinary action as the preliminary report fingered her as the provocateur.

“Because there was a shooting and it involves the police INDECOM (Independent Commission) ago get involve now, plus IPROB (Inspectorate Professional Standards Oversight Bureau),” said one source. “Unless she lives at the same house, which is very unlikely, she needs to tell us why was she at the gate of the other officer.”

“She blunder big time, she was at the next lady’s home and then she drive down the vehicle on the man… the man was fearful and that is the reason he discharge a few rounds on the ground, maybe one round ricochet and hit her, we don’t know. But she’s now in a very sticky situation,” said another.

Early Tuesday about 12:30 am a section of South Street in Old Harbour at the intersection of Hart Street and Vaz Drive was cordoned off by scene of crime detectives.

Later in the day a report from the JCF emerged detailing how a woman constable was injured by a male cop – with whom she has a child with.

According to the report three police constables – two females and a male – had an altercation Monday at the Franklyn Town Police Station in Kingston in which one of the females was pepper-sprayed by the other woman constable.

Both women have a child for the male officer, said the report.

The dispute was quashed with all parties going their separate ways.

In his statement to detectives the male officer said upon taking the female officer who was pepper-sprayed to her home in Old Harbour, the other female cop was surprisingly seen parked at the gate.   At that point the male constable said he turned around and headed for the Old Harbour Police Station with the intention of making a report given what had transpired earlier in the day.

After they’d exited the vehicle and while walking towards the station, the female officer drove her vehicle down on the male cop, who fired three shots at the ground. She then exited her vehicle claiming she has been shot. She then drove herself to the Spanish Town Hospital where she was treated and released.

A senior cop added: “So you leave all the way from town (Kingston), go a di woman yard a lay-wait har and then you drive down the car pon di man… no man, that’s completely out of line. She has some serious explaining to do. Worst case: she can lose her job especially if she has previous breaches against her name. But I believe a suspension is warranted based on her actions and what is already out in the public.”

IPROB and INDECOM have launched separate investigations into the matter.
